John Hughes
Managing Partner
John joined Brewers in 1999, making equity partner three years later.
As well as specialising in tax planning for individuals and owner managed businesses, his real passion is business mentoring. During his time at Brewers he has helped many business owners drive efficiencies to improve cashflow and profitability, raise finance, retain key staff and make strategic changes in the boardroom when necessary.
John also offers retained business consultancy and non-executive services, of particular significance when business owners are looking to sell or transition their businesses. He is able to guide clients through the whole process from establishing the best possible commercial valuation, negotiating the transaction in the most tax efficient manner, liaising with legal and finance teams and acting as a sounding board for clients looking to realise a return, often on their life’s work.
